From challenge to results

   Challenge

   The school ran everything on scattered tools: registrations, lessons, homework, grades and payments went through paper, Excel and WhatsApp, with no overview for the management. Parents had almost no visibility on their children's results between meetings, and students lost interest without a more engaging way to learn.

   Solution

   A single platform brings all school follow-up together: exercises are graded automatically with animated feedback, every new homework or exercise triggers a notification, and report cards export to PDF. Parents follow their children's results from their own space. To keep students motivated, educational mini-games with levels, leaderboards and rewards (boosters, animations, music) make learning playful, while the management runs registrations, subscriptions and payments from the back office.

   Results

   Since January 2026, 88% of the exercises assigned to students have been completed on the platform.

Technical architecture

• Versioned REST API (/api/v1) with Sanctum token authentication
• Spatie roles and permissions, with middleware controlling access to each Filament panel
• IP allowlist for production admin access (managed from the back office, cached for 5 min)
• File storage on Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible), one bucket per environment, with a migration command from local disk (dry-run mode)
• Database notifications shown in Filament panels, triggered by Eloquent observers
• Transactional emails (confirmation, approval, payment link, rejection, admin alert, contact)
• Manual subscription payment recording in DZD (cash, CIB, Edahabia, CCP, bank transfer…) with uploaded proof, no online gateway
• Pest feature tests organized by role and domain (API, services, Filament panels)
• 12 immutable data models generated with freezed and json_serializable, ready for API integration
• Design system: Material 3 light and dark themes, centralized colors, typography and spacing, ThemeExtension
• Phase 1 without a backend: centralized mock data and network calls imitated with delays
